I’m just so excited this morning, I can’t sleep. Well, it’s not that early, but since it was my only day to sleep-in, it means something. The filming yesterday was soooo much fun! We were filming my sister Jacqueline’s short, ‘The choir.’ We corroborated on the screenplay (with another friend Sandra), and it was just absolutely hilarious. We grabbed a whole bunch of guys from Comedy Sportz to help us out (one of them is another sister’s best friend’s brother), and they were so cute, I just wanted to hug them. I had to play quite the snobby prima donna, AND sing a solo (horribly, might I add). But can I tell you how much fun it is to see people say your lines right…maybe even better than you intended? I loved it! Now, let’s hope our editing does them justice. We’re going to submit it to a couple of film festivals around the area, so we’ll see how it goes.
Anyway, just thought I’d share! Steph

So, I SHOULD be writing…I’m actually writing a musical with one of my friends right now. I’m doing the dialogue, she’s doing the music BUT then I got this cool comment from a girl practically from my hometown and she likes my book, ‘Meet Your Match.’ That is so nice of you, Katy! Thanks! The book is actually doing really well right now, and I’m really glad because in the edits no one liked the main character and I had to try and make her more likeable, which was extremely difficult to do and still keep the plot line going.
Anyway, I’m trying to think of my latest adventure to share for my blog (cause apparently that’s what we’re supposed to do), and nothing appropriate comes to mind. It’s all way too embarrassing to share. Hmmm, but I’m having a blast in Salt Lake and I love going to church with all the Genealogy and temple workers. Teaching 6-8 year olds drama is pretty dang funny too…since I don’t know how to act, I just do! So, I played ‘Puff the Magic Dragon’ on my guitar last week and had them dance around to the music. And then we played some pirate music and we pretended to be pirates. Yeah, I guess that sounds pretty strange. At least I had fun.
I’m also having a blast in the scanning department. We work with a ton of other girls and it’s like Relief Society without the craft. One of the girls brought her dog today. It’s the cutest dog ever and fits in her purse. She’s going to buy it a sweater and a fake diamond studded collar…it made me want one. I glanced over at them and saw little Tucker (the dog, of course) sitting in her hood and chewing on the ends of her hair. Then another girl we work with chased it around the room. I’m supposed to be in charge, which is too bad because I have to be so serious (seeing as I’ll be the one to get in trouble if anything goes wrong), so I kicked them out for five minutes…until the dog fell asleep. She’ll get a babysitter next time.
Anyhoo, I see that I was tagged, but I have no idea really what that means, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out. Ha ha, I’m so technologically suavy! Oh, so here’s the latest, this is a good one. I lost power steering in my car (yet another belt broke) and I only found out when I tried to parallel park. It was a good thing I had some friends in the car ’cause they helped me turn the steering wheel enough to get in between two poor unsuspecting cars. My sister’s husband says he’ll fix it for me, I just have to buy a belt. Um, yeah…soon…until then, I’m going to get really really strong!
Have a good one, ya’all!

So, I’ve been running around like crazy trying to figure out how to get my website up and running. Oh yeah, and believe you me when I get this figured out, it’s gonna be awesome just ’cause I would’ve actually done it myself (except it doesn’t quite count as doing it myself since I had to ask so many people to help me–and thank you thank you, I appreciate you tons).
Anyhoo, so I just got Dreamweaver and the dreamweaver for dummies book only to find out that I don’t have enough gigs to put it into my computer. So now, I’m going to have to remove tons of hardware on my computer and maybe get a memory stick if that fails. Yikes!
So, that’s what I’m up to. As of now, I’m going to have to live with my ugly little pink border on the top of my blog (though I don’t really need dreamweaver for that, but still, um, yeah, my friend’s going to help me with that).
That is actually the most exciting thing I can think of writing right now. I went to BYU bookstore and my sister asked me if my book was out yet, and I must confess, I didn’t know. We checked and it wasn’t. I suppose I should find these things out…I’m just, this darn website!
I promise I’ll have something better to say later. Yeah. Ha ha!

What an interesting labor day! I was born on labor day, but this isn’t my birthday. That was two days ago. It was the most interesting birthday of my life ’cause I think it was the first time I didn’t have a birthday cake. We fixed that the next day though, and for my present I got a new battery for my car that went dead. Yeah, I’m loved.
Sooo, I had all sorts of plans for this fine Labor Day, though things have gone horribly haywire. I thought it would be really cool to go hiking, but sadly enough, my sis got sick, my niece was forbidden (since her mom was afraid of rattlesnakes), and all my bros woke up too early to go biking and want nothing to do with hiking because they think it will throw off their biking funk.
So now, it’s really too late to ask any of my friends to go (being high noon–perfect for hiking…or not)! So, here I sit, trying to figure out how this blogging thing works when really all I want to do is fly out the door and find a trail. I probably still will, snakes or not.
So if I don’t write another blog, you’ll know what happened to me. Dun dun dun…or maybe it will just mean that I’m as bad at blogging as I am at keeping a journal.
Later! Stephanie Fowers
